| Heres a short summary of the last few days .. there's been a lot goin on!
on monday i had my first lvl400-lecture! this was great fun, our lecturer involved us, and we had a discussion at the board about math. issues! well, our course attend currently only 8 people, so this is what i call a good working condition! On tuesday i finally managed to organise myself a bike! i had a look at bikes at trademe.co.nz, and i found a german touring bike, which is pretty much a good mixture between a speeding and a road bike! i called the seller and made an appointment to have a look at it in the evening. in the afternoon there was a CompSoc / Industry BBQ at the Uni Staff Club, where many representatives of local computer & software companys introduced themselves and wanted interested students to have a chat or a beer with them! i'd love to have something like this over in germany! after the BBQ, i went to Seb to check out if there would be anything goin on in the evening, and see, we went to the beach spontaneously! before that, i had to go to have a look at my bike, so Seb joined in and we both drove down there. the first time i saw the bike i felt like i have to have it! well, i just asked the guy owning the bike if he'd sell it to me instantly and not via trademe, and after a short argumentation, he said OK! Yeah! so i arranged the pickup at the next morning. finally we went for the beach. as the temperature was still very comfortable, we decided to go swimming! after that we had a chat while having a beer, and we played some frisbee! perfect day! on wednesday morning i went to fetch my bike, and made my way straight to the rec centre at uni, because i had a planned consulting at 10:45am. there i made my personal fitness plan with a staff member! i wonder if we'll ever going to have something alike in germany :-( this morning i went to the first event on my plan, "Pumping"! we had to take weights and move to music played in the meantime! i really enjoyed it .. i'll be very fit in a couple of weeks, believe that :-) this afternoon is another BBQ, organized by the canoe club! there we'll gonna check out the last details about our combos, which are about to start next week! okay, said enough, next time i'll post something that was goin on on the weekend.. we'll be on Mt.Somner with the tramping club! check out my pics, there are some from the beach and my bike! cheers, Daniel |
